Therapy for ADHD in Salt Lake City, Utah

ADHD therapy is about understanding how your brain works, not trying to change you. Neurodivergent brains think, feel and function differently than neurotypical ones. If you’ve pushed through, adapted and held it all together for years on your own, you don’t have to anymore. Together we can explore what’s getting in your way, build practical skills and help you gain the confidence you’ve been lacking to navigate life with ADHD. You’re not too sensitive, too intense or too much.

You’re in the right place if…

  • You’ve been in therapy before and felt like something was being missed or misunderstood, or perhaps you experience things in a way that the people around you just don’t quite “get”.

  • You feel like you have twenty tabs open in your brain at all times.

  • Your emotions feel big, immediate and difficult to manage. People have told you you’re “too much”, so you make yourself smaller.

  • You’re perpetually burned out. Keeping up with life’s many demands feels harder than it does for others, yet you know you’re capable.

  • You were recently diagnosed or you highly suspect ADHD might be part of your story and you’re not quite sure what to do next.

  • You feel like you’re either doing everything at once or nothing at all. This doesn’t work for you, but you can’t seem to figure out a better way.

MEET YOUR SALT LAKE CITY EMDR THERAPIST

Hi, I’m Kelsey, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in therapy for ADHD. My approach is always trauma informed and neurodivergent affirming. I spent 30 years navigating life with undiagnosed ADHD, which has contributed to my passionate for helping people (particularly women) with similar struggles.

Many of my clients come to me having tried to navigate their ADHD for years and years without the proper tools or a provider who understands. Maybe they are dealing with the grief (and excitement) of a recent diagnosis or maybe they are trying to figure out if what they are experiencing might be actually be ADHD. This diagnosis can feel impossible to manage without the proper tools.

Therapy for ADHD isn’t about figuring out how to fit yourself into the box that everyone else operates within. I’m here to help you understand yourself and build something that feels sustainable. Working against your own nervous system for years comes at a cost and it’s often a lonely road. You don’t have to figure it out all alone anymore.
